Shout out to Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

I feel like our EE x 3 sort of has an evil side. For example: Nathan can have pork but not the fruit that commonly goes with it. Gage can have yeast but none of the grains to go with it, until now!  Charlie can have wheat but no yeast. I would say that’s almost worse than trying to eat gluten-free. (note to self, celebrity Gluten free diet – topic for another day. grrrrr) So trying to find a bread product for Charlie is hard unless we make our own.

One grocery trip I was feeling a little adventurous and decided to check out all the Pillsbury products. Low and behold a few of them don’t contain yeast! So I grab some crescent rolls and head for home. Charlie told me he would eat anything for dinner as long as it was in the shape of a ginger bread boy. As if dinner isn’t heard enough. I break out my creative mommy mode and get to work. I opened up the tube and rolled some out. Found a cookie cutter as close to a ginger bread boy shape that we had and cut some out. I used the scraps and made little parmesan sticks and finished up the rest of the dough making regular rolls. I always bake the dough a little before adding the sauce and toppings. Sauce is always also homemade since Charlie can’t have onion or garlic. Which I’m so over and ready to have those two things back. The boys both thought dinner was awesome and ate it up! Charlie thought the sticks looked like snakes so those were extra cool. I recently discovered the actual Pillsbury pizza dough doesn’t have yeast so we’ve switched to that.

Three cheers for mommy and an “awesome” dinner!
