Another kids dinner

With Nathan out-of-town on business I know my dinner plans will be minimal. So to make it even easier on myself I just ask they boys what they want.

Charlie: mac and cheese

Gage: pizza

Charlie’s is super easy – I break out the Kraft. Then he asked for a pizza too.

For Gage I use their special bread. I spread on some pizza sauce, sprinkle on some mozzarella  cheese and lay it right on the oven rack. I bake it for around 5-8 min at 350 degrees. Just enough to melt the cheese  and make the bread crusty.

Easiest dinner than last night! Not as healthy though.

hmmmm what does this pregnant belly want to eat?

Ham and cheese – kid style

I came up with an old classic perfect for the boys tonight. Hot ham and cheese sandwiches!

Tried to think up a way that would be more fun and interesting for them. Pulled out some Pillsbury flaky biscuits and popped them in the oven.  We had a package of small ham cubes in the fridge. I heated up about a cup of those in the skillet.  Once the biscuits were done I immediately pulled two off the tray and opened them up the best I could in the middle. I laid a slice of Velveeta on each half then sprinkled in some ham. Closed it up and let it sit a few minutes to get the cheese melted.

I opened it up after the cheese melted.

They were great! The biscuits were a little on the sweet side for me but the boys loved them. They had some applesauce and corn along with it! Perfect for a warm spring evening.

Eating Machine

Despite Gage not being able to eat much, not much at all right now. He still manages to enjoy himself!

This was lunch today. Stage three baby food, green beans and rice. Cinnamon and spice oatmeal with added blueberries. He then gobbled down more blue berries. Last he topped it off with some tapioca bread with butter and cinnamon/sugar topping.

mm good.

Mommy did learn more today about items corn sneaks itself into: EVERYTHING. I also learned that there is potato starch in shredded cheese. BIG OOPS there. Never thought to look at those ingredients. IT’S CHEESE. Luckily that’s not something he get a lot of.

Tomorrow’s a new day.
