“Pumpkin” Pancakes

I find myself to be very creative. Pancakes are a Charlie staple. So let’s get creative with pancakes! By using some food coloring pancakes can be fun. I’ve always let Charlie pick out  a color for his pancakes, this time the color helped them come to life. I made some white and orange pumpkin shapes, all with green stems. I also tried to make some ghost and bone shapes. Of course they’re not perfect but to Charlie they were!  He ate them right up. I always make a big batch then either throw the extras in the fridge or freezer. Makes a quick grab when we’re having a busy day. I will pop them in the toaster to warm them up.  I typically use bisquick without adding the egg. I also use the extras it suggests – baking powder, sugar and vanilla. Chocolate chip pancakes are always requested. Gage prefers blueberries in his, now that he gets to eat them!

Eating Machine

Despite Gage not being able to eat much, not much at all right now. He still manages to enjoy himself!

This was lunch today. Stage three baby food, green beans and rice. Cinnamon and spice oatmeal with added blueberries. He then gobbled down more blue berries. Last he topped it off with some tapioca bread with butter and cinnamon/sugar topping.

mm good.

Mommy did learn more today about items corn sneaks itself into: EVERYTHING. I also learned that there is potato starch in shredded cheese. BIG OOPS there. Never thought to look at those ingredients. IT’S CHEESE. Luckily that’s not something he get a lot of.

Tomorrow’s a new day.
