Eating Machine

Despite Gage not being able to eat much, not much at all right now. He still manages to enjoy himself!

This was lunch today. Stage three baby food, green beans and rice. Cinnamon and spice oatmeal with added blueberries. He then gobbled down more blue berries. Last he topped it off with some tapioca bread with butter and cinnamon/sugar topping.

mm good.

Mommy did learn more today about items corn sneaks itself into: EVERYTHING. I also learned that there is potato starch in shredded cheese. BIG OOPS there. Never thought to look at those ingredients. IT’S CHEESE. Luckily that’s not something he get a lot of.

Tomorrow’s a new day.

Our new enemy – CORN

Here’s a list of Gage’s food allergies that was stay clear of: beef, wheat, soy, sesame, celery, mustard, eggs, peas, potatoes, sweet potatoes, all nuts & fish.

Since doing the blood test yesterday to check for more food allergies we are staying clear of corn. CORN is in everything. It was in 75% of the baby food he could eat. While making him Gage safe pancakes this morning I learned corn starch is in baking powder. There goes our egg substitute for baking. Then at lunch I learned corn syrup is in the safe hotdogs he can eat. What else will you pop up in corn. Oh there goes a snack – popcorn!

This will not be a fun week and a half while waiting the results.

Ants Re-thought

Ants! What a great way to spring clean the toy room. Turned out to be not such a bad thing after all.

Just Grillin’

Grilled out last night. I think that is going to be the easiest dinner for me to make to include everyone. My husband and I had italian sausage. He put some chicken on for the boys. He then grilled some zucchini with red and yellow peppers. We added a little italian dressing to the veggies. Everyone ate and mommy was so happy!

Tonight might be a little tougher. Tacos or a pasta dish? Including Gage in one of these meals is going to be hard. We’ll see what the day brings and how much time and effort I’m going to have once dinner gets here.
